Inexpensive Walmart Treat

I just bought Betty Crocker mashed potato for 88 cents which has two packets in it and for about 50 cents a seasoned rice.

The rice took me about 15 minutes to cook and the mashed potatoes about 5 min.
B&C says in their packets that you need milk, butter and water, but I ditched milk and used only water and butter, which tasted just fine.

I scrambled the rice and m.p. together to make me a great treat

I don't think this is any kind of a recipe, so I just posted it here. Just letting you guys know that it was cheap and light!

Cool, thanks for the recipe!

In certain situation anything is good as long as its cheap and fast. Gotta love wal-mart for its cheap stuff.

It's basic and might not sound that great, but once your in camp after a long day of hiking, anything this good is considered gourmet! Thanks for the idea sirbob!
