Politics on the trail

PostPosted by greenhiker on Thu Apr 03, 2008 5:29 pm

As I backpacking along the trail and meet new people, I love talking politics. Right now, the United States presidency is a toss up. Obama is in the lead, and he is most likely to be president. I don't think America would vote in a female president, honestly, although I have no problem with it. And McCain is just an angry war vet. No one really knows who the next president of the largest world power is going to be! What do you think?

I'm a republican, and even though Romney was a mormon, I think he was definitely the best candidate. Obama and Clinton have it all wrong, and McCain is just a crazy, angry old man. Several people have made comments about how they thing McCain has an anger issue right? Hillary originally supported the war in Iraq, but now says she made the wrong decision? What the heck. Obama doesn't support the war either, which is just crazy. Romney had tons of top people supporting him like the CEOs of Ebay, Intel, and Jet Blue, when Obama just has celebrities.

Although I don't support him, since Romney is out, I think Obama is the next United States president.

Obama is ahead in delegates by only a little bit, so Clinton still has a chance, but with her latest loss, Pennsylvania, I don't think she will be nominated. I agree with jennyeast. Romney was good. McCain wouldn't make a good pres.
Thanks.

Why hasn't Hillary dropped out?! She is crazy. She is just hurting the Democratic party by thinking that she has a chance, which she doesn't! Crazy woman. But what can you expect? I mean, she's a Clinton!

Elections are just a month away! Crazy. It's between a Black man and an angry war veteran. I think Obama is our next president though. At first McCain made a good choice for choosing Palin as VP, but now the media has torn her apart. She was beautiful for a vice president though!
Thanks.

Wow what do you guys think about the stock market crash? The Dow going under 8,000 points today! This is one for the history books.... Many people are blaming it on the banks, and I do think they are to blame for making people think they can afford what they really can't, but what are these people thinking who buy $400,000 homes when they only make $40,000 a year! Idiots!
